InsideCell was built because living with sickle cell disease can be lonely in ways that are hard to explain — to employers, to friends, even sometimes to doctors. It started with a simple question: what would it look like to have a place where no one needed you to explain the baseline?
This platform isn't a replacement for medical care, and it isn't trying to be perfect. It is a gentle internet room. You can come here tired. You can come here scared. You can come here in a good stretch and offer a hand to someone who isn't.
We center three things:
- Understanding — a community where the baseline is already known.
- Flexibility — no rigid rules about how often, how much, or how polished you should be.
- Emotional safety — pseudonyms, anonymous stories, and a quiet team that holds the space.
If you're a warrior, a caregiver, a parent, a partner, an ally, or a clinician, you are welcome. Come in. Sit down. Breathe.
